Deploy Windows 11 24H2 on HP EliteBook Ultra G1q (ARM64) via Autopilot
Difficulty: Intermediate · Time: 1 hour Intune setup
Snapdragon X Elite Copilot+ PC. ARM64 architecture changes the ISO, the driver pack, and the Autopilot profile.
📝 This guide is an outline. The full step-by-step is being written. The procedure below mirrors the gold-standard MDT guide — adapt the model-specific bits.
Outline
- Pre-register the device hash with HP at purchase — easiest path. Ask your HP rep for the Autopilot CSV.
- If manual: boot the laptop into OOBE → Shift+F10 →
PowerShell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass→Install-Script Get-WindowsAutopilotInfo -Force→Get-WindowsAutopilotInfo -Online. Sign into your Entra tenant. - In Intune (https://intune.microsoft.com): Devices → Enrollment → Windows → Windows Autopilot deployment profiles.
- Create an ARM64-specific profile. Mode: User-driven. Join to Entra ID. Convert all targeted devices to Autopilot = Yes.
- Apply your standard MAM/MDM compliance policies.
- Power on the laptop, sign in with the user's Entra ID account.
Special considerations:
- ARM64 apps: Microsoft 365, Edge, Chrome, Teams now have native ARM64 builds. x86/x64 win32 apps run via Prism emulation.
- NPU: 45 TOPS Hexagon NPU. Copilot+ PC features (Recall, Click to Do, Cocreator) require ARM64 Win 11 24H2 build 26100.1742 or newer.
- The ARM64 Win 11 ISO is available from https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11arm64 .

Until this guide is expanded, pair it with:
- Deploy Windows 11 24H2 on HP EliteBook 840 G7 via MDT — every MDT/SCCM-based deployment follows this same shape
- Deploy Windows 11 24H2 on HP EliteBook 840 G10 via Bootable USB — every single-laptop USB deployment follows this same shape, and includes the Intel VMD driver workaround if this model has VMD enabled.
