Deploy Windows 11 25H2 on HP EliteBook 840 G11 via MDT

Outline

1. Install Windows ADK 25H2 + matching WinPE add-on (replaces the 24H2 versions).
2. Import the Windows 11 25H2 multi-edition ISO.
3. Download the HP EliteBook 840 G11 driver pack for Windows 11 25H2 from the HP CMS driver matrix.
4. Inject Intel VMD drivers into the boot.wim (G11 ships with VMD on by default). See Quirks → Intel VMD.
5. CustomSettings.ini — same as the 840 G7 guide but with [HP EliteBook 840 G11] section pointing at the 25H2 driver folder.
6. Disable BitLocker pre-image / re-enable post-image (Win 11 25H2 auto-encrypts even harder than 24H2).
7. Update share, PXE boot, walk through wizard.

⏳ Many enterprises will hold on 24H2 until late 2026. Use 25H2 for pilot rings first.
